The 5 Best Places to Ride ATVs Near Glampers Inn

The 5 Best Places to Ride UTVs and ATVs Near Glampers Inn Resort
ATV enthusiasts have been flocking to Southern Utah for generations to ride their UTVs and ATVs. There are many reasons for this. The first one being that Southern Utah remains fairly warm all year long whereas the majority of the state receives snow which makes taking the ATVs out a little difficult. The next reason is that there is an abundance of high-quality trails and riding areas people have access to. In this piece, we’ll talk about some great places to take the ATVs for travelers staying at Glampers Inn.

  1. Warner Valley Area
Warner Valley features a variety of trails with wide-ranging levels of difficulty that also have fun landmarks and scenery. Along the Warner Valley trails, riders can find dinosaur tracks and Native American petroglyphs. It’s a great area for beginner riders. The terrain includes sand, slot canyons, washes, and moon mounds.
Experienced riders can tackle more challenging terrain and longer rides that can take them into Arizona where they have access to a historic trail called the Honeymoon Trail.
  2. Gooseberry Mesa Trails
The Gooseberry ATV area has amazing views of Smithsonian Butte, the Virgin River, and Zion National Park. This area is at roughly 5,000 feet of elevation so it’s one of the cooler areas to ride during the hot summers of Southern Utah.
This area is also used by mountain bikers and hikers. So if you’re needing to stretch your legs after an extended period of time atop an ATV, there are some fun, easy hikes to do so.
  3. Toquerville Falls Trail
The main attraction of this ride is obviously the falls and they are fantastic. However, as riders make the ascension to Toquerville Falls, they can see the colorful canyons of Smith Mesa and portions of Zion National Park. At the falls, there’s the option to take a swim to cool off or just relax and enjoy the scenery.
In conjunction with the Toquerville Falls trail, riders can also experience some great trail riding and desert landscapes at the Sandstone Mountain area.
  4. Coral Pink Sand Dunes Area
The Coral Pink Sand Dunes Area is about an hour away from Glampers Inn and features 1,000 acres of riding area along with hundreds of miles worth of trails in the surrounding park such as the Mail Drop, The Barracks, Broad Hollow, and Yellow Jacket Trail. Inexperienced riders should be careful and go with experienced riders if they want to attempt these trails.
  5. Silver Reef Trails
On this ride, ATV enthusiasts can do some time traveling. This route has several side roads that take riders to sites with mining structures from the 1800s still standing. There’s an old Wells Fargo freight station in the old town of Silver Reef with many old mines in the area. Silver Reef has its name because it’s one of two places in the world where silver has been found in a sandstone formation.
